Information the app handles
The current version stores your ingredient inventory and app preferences locally on your device. CocktailScan does not require an account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics.
Photos and scanning
When you choose a photo from your device, the current version handles that selection on your device. CocktailScan does not upload the selected image to our servers. Your device may ask for permission to access photos; you can manage that permission in your device settings.
Sharing
If you choose to share a recipe, CocktailScan passes the content you selected to your device’s sharing interface. The destination app or service you choose has its own privacy practices.
This website
This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics. The contact forms on this site create an email in your own email application. The website itself does not submit or store the form contents. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include so we can respond.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. The current app does not create user accounts, track you across apps or websites, or send your bar inventory to CocktailScan.
Service providers and app stores
Your operating system, app store, email provider, and any external sites you visit may process information under their own policies. CocktailScan does not control those services.
Children and responsible use
CocktailScan is intended for people who may lawfully consume alcohol where they live. It is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
Future features may require this policy to change. We will update this page and its effective date before materially different data practices take effect.
